ABOUT

Jeremy Garcon is a poet and photographer whose love of words, imagery, and animation came together by way of a Polaroid SX-70 “instant film land camera” that he received on his tenth birthday. With one click—and the instantly distinguishable zoom-zoom noise of a Polaroid print—Garcon’s previously separated worlds of words and pictures forever enmeshed, and developed into Garcon producing “image poems” for his mom and animated “scotch-tape flip books” for his friends.

In his professional life, he consults with executives on the art of understanding and getting what they want out of their work and lives. He is a motivational speaker frequently quoted in national media.

A native of Washington, DC, Garcon attended college at a formerly all-girls school and created his own major course of study. Within a handful of years, his visual arts work had been nominated for a Congressional Award for Creativity in Community Service and Garcon was teaching Communications at the University of Virginia.

A father and grandfather, Garcon now resides in Guadalajara, Mexico, where he owns a car but cannot drive.
